    How the desk runs

    Research is published in cycles, not on a daily churn. Depth is the point.

    Research cycles

    Each cycle covers one market in depth and carries the other. A Sri Lanka cycle includes a CSE sector deep dive; a US cycle includes its own. Note counts per cycle are stated on each tier and are a floor, not a target.

    Early access

    Paid desks receive a note 48 hours before it is released more widely. The embargo is enforced on the server, per tier — not by hiding a link.

    Live sessions

    Full Desk and above get a live community session each cycle, plus the earnings-season thread. Every session is recorded, and the recording stays in the archive for eligible members.

    Archives

    Your archive matches your tier: Colombo Desk opens the full CSE archive, Full Desk adds the US archive. Archived notes stay readable — you keep what you paid to read.

    Downloads

    Portfolio Lab framework spreadsheets and Founding Analyst data appendices are served through authenticated download links, checked against your tier at the moment you request them.

    Coverage votes

    Founding Analysts vote twice a quarter on what the desk covers next. The winning research is published to the whole eligible audience — it is a vote on shared coverage, never a private commissioned report.

    Questions

    How does billing work?
    Membership is billed through PayPal as a recurring subscription, in US dollars. You are charged on the same date each month or each year until you cancel. InwestOut never sees or stores your card details — PayPal handles the payment instrument entirely.
    Can I upgrade or downgrade?
    Yes. When you change tier, you keep the higher level of access for as long as either subscription is paid for — you are never dropped to a lower tier mid-period, and you are never billed twice for overlapping cover. You will always see the exact effective date before you confirm.
    What happens if I cancel?
    You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then access ends. Cancelling does not trigger a refund of the current period, and nothing is cut short on the day you cancel.
    What if a payment fails?
    Access continues for a three-day grace period while PayPal retries the payment. If it still has not gone through by then, access pauses until the subscription is settled. Nothing you have already read is taken away, and your archive returns intact when billing resumes.
    Do I keep access to recordings and archives?
    While your membership is active, yes — recordings and archives stay available at your tier, including material published before you joined, where the tier includes it. Access to member material ends when membership ends.
    Is this investment advice?
    No. InwestOut publishes educational research and analysis of public filings. It does not provide personalised investment advice, individual recommendations, buy/sell/hold instructions, price targets, or performance promises, and it does not manage money. DamithInvest / inwestout.com is not registered with the SEC of Sri Lanka as an investment advisor. Always consult a licensed advisor before making investment decisions.
    What is an "educational model-allocation framework"?
    A teaching example. Portfolio Lab frameworks work through how an allocation might be reasoned about using notional amounts — LKR 100,000 and USD 10,000 — showing the assumptions, the risk-budget rules, and the change log. They are not model portfolios, they are not tailored to you, and they take no input about your holdings or objectives.
    Why is Founding Analyst capped at 25 members?
    Because the roundtable and the coverage vote only work at small numbers. The cap is enforced on the server. When all 25 seats are taken you can join a waitlist and will be contacted in order when a seat opens.
